Mε συνεχές βούισμα από φωνές εντόμων,
Εντόμων τρόμων, τρυπούν με ακρίβεια φρικτή
Το κεφάλι του ανίδεου ασθενή.

Άυπνος τρόμος, μεγαλομανής,
Αθυρόστομος και παρασιτικός,
Εύκολα ευδοκιμεί στο μυαλό ενός παιδιού,
Ενός ονειροπόλου κοριτσιού.

Ανυπάκουες, ενοχλητικές

Τεντώνουν τις κεραίες τους,
Υπόγεια ακουμπούν
Τον χνουδωτό λαβύρινθο

Καλλιεργούν τους φόβους της,
Μιμούνται τη φωνή της,

To the constant buzzing of insects’ voices,
Of insects horrors, piercing with hideous precision
The head of the unaware patient.

Sleepless horror, megalomaniac,
Coarse and parasitic,
It easily thrives in the mind of a child,
Of a daydreaming girl.

Disobedient, annoying
And noxious voices.

They stretch out their feelers,
They sneakily touch
The fuzzy labyrinth
Of the disturbed hearing.

They dig into her mind,
Make holes,
Hide, give birth
To their winged babies.

Disobedient, annoying
And noxious voices.

They sigh advice,
Whisper rules,
Order behaviours
To admonish her.

They nurture her fears,
Imitate her voice,
Yell laughing out loud
To terrify her.

Disobedient, annoying
And noxious voices.

The unfortunate girl was just looking at some
Migratory birds falling
Through the window, a piece of the sky
Gazing in spring on a lukewarm day.

Unsuspecting girl,
Vernal voices of evil insects
Inside her pink little ear
finding comfort.
